Copy Security Roles

The Copy Security Roles (CPYSCROL) page is a specialized page used to copy a security role and all associated setup to create a new role. The following related information is copied.

  • Access Control

  • Foreign Organization

  • Valid Security Roles

  • Secured Fields

  • Field Access Compares

To create a new security role from an existing security role, complete the following steps:

Step 1: Select a Security RoleStep 1: Select a Security Role

After making your selection, the Access Control records of the security role will appear in the grid at the bottom of the page. Once your selection is made, click the Continue button to transition to Step 2.

Step 2: Foreign Organization recordsStep 2: Foreign Organization records

This step displays the Foreign Organization records that will be copied. It also displays the Valid Department records for this security role. If a previous selection needs to be removed then click the Previous button. Once selections have been made, click the Continue button to transition to Step 3.

Step 3: Secured Field Access and Field comparison recordsStep 3: Secured Field Access and Field comparison records

This step displays the Secured Field Access records linked with the security role selected. Select any Secured Field Access record to view its Field Comparison records. If a previous selection needs to be removed then click the Previous button. Once selections have been made, click the Continue button to transition to Step 4.

Step 4: New Security RoleStep 4: New Security Role

This step allows the entry of identification information related to the creation of the new security role. When finished entering information for the new role, select the Create New Security Role button to complete the copy security role process.
