Interpreting an Audit Report

To view an Audit Report, click the View Report(s) link in the Report Summary for Audit Log Report page. The Reports page appears. Click the View HTML link to view an HTML report and/or click the View PDF link to view a PDF report.

A summary audit report displays the following information:

  • Date and time of the action

  • User Id or Job Id that performed the action

  • Name of the job that performed the action (the job name is always Online if the action was performed online)

  • Action that was performed

  • Primary key of the record on which the action was performed

A detailed audit log report displays the following information:

  • Date and time of the action

  • User id or job id that performed the action

  • Name of the job that performed the action (the job name is always Online if the action was performed online)

  • Action that was performed

  • Primary key of the record on which the action was performed

  • List of columns that were changed along with their old value and new value. For a newly inserted record the old values are always blank and for a deleted record the new values are always blank.
