User Interface Field Security
The User Interface Field Security (SCUIFS) page allows the definition where (Resource ID and Resource Group ID) secured fields have a restricted view and to what extent. The level of field restriction can vary from being simply protected to being protected and completely masked, or being protected and partially masked (that is, only some of the field value is visible and the remainder of the field value is replaced with asterisks). UI Field Security can only be set up for resources that have a Resource Type of Page.
After selecting a Resource ID on the search results portion of the page, you can select Edit from the row-level menu, which transitions you to an Edit view that displays two tabs:
All fields are display only for the resource selected.

Characters Displayed |
This field determines how much of the selected field will display on the indicated resource (that is, Page, Transaction, Table, Query or Activity Folder). |
