User Maintenance Layout

The User Maintenance transaction has the following tabs. Field information is only provided for fields not already defined on one of the previous reference pages.

HeaderHeader

Captures all of the identification information for the user, such as the unique User ID, which is used throughout the Advantage application, along with the user's name, email address, phone number and location information.

Action

A required indication of what type of user update to make:

  • Add – Used when creating a new user. If this option is selected, then enter a unique value in the User ID field and populate all required fields.

  • Update – Used when updating information for an existing user. Select a user from the User ID pick list and then select the Populate From Existing User action from the tab-level menu. Note: This field is automatically set to Update if a valid user is selected and the Populate From Existing User action is selected.

The Header tab of UDOC transaction includes the following Related Action:

  • Populate from Existing User – An action to bring in existing information for the User ID entered.

Security RolesSecurity Roles

Captures the security role assignments for the user. For existing users, one can add additional security roles or remove currently assigned security roles.

The Security Roles tab of the UDOC transaction includes the following Related Actions:

  • Remove – Sets the transaction to delete the association of security role and user. The actual removal will occur when processed to final.

  • Undo Remove – Removes the setting for the transaction to delete the association.

Business RolesBusiness Roles

Captures the business role assignments for the user. For existing users, additional business roles can be added or currently assigned business roles can be removed. Additional information on the fields on this tab are found in the “User to Business Role Association” topic in the CGI Advantage Business Role User Guide.

The Business Roles tab of the UDOC transaction includes the following Related Actions:

  • Remove – Sets the transaction to delete the association of business role and user. The actual removal will occur when processed to final.

  • Undo Remove – Removes the setting for the transaction to delete the association.

Workflow RolesWorkflow Roles

Captures the approval role assignments for the user. For existing users, one can add additional workflow roles or remove currently assigned roles. Additional information on the fields on this tab are found in the CGI Advantage Workflow and Collaboration User Guide.

The Workflow Roles tab includes the following Related Actions:

  • Remove – Sets the transaction to delete the association of workflow role and user. The actual removal will occur when processed to final.

  • Undo Remove – Removes the setting for the transaction to delete the association.

Application Business RoleApplication Business Role

Note: This tab is displayed when the ENABLE_APP_SPECIFIC_BUS_ROLE flag is enabled on the ERPCTRL page. This feature provides the ability to configure a primary (default) Business Role for each Advantage application. For example, a Financial Business Role can be the primary when navigating to Advantage from a Financial transaction workflow approval email or other hyperlinks.

Use this tab to configure the Business Role that should be primary (default) for each applicable Advantage application. Select one Business Role for each applicable Advantage application.

The Application Business Role tab includes the following Related Actions:

  • Remove – Sets the transaction to delete the association of application and business role. The actual removal will occur when processed to final.

  • Undo Remove – Removes the setting for the transaction to delete the association.
