Pentaho Jobs and Parameters

The Pentaho Jobs and Parameters (CPENTAHO) page provides the ability to search for and edit all configured Pentaho Jobs and corresponding job parameters. Users can also create a new Pentaho Job record and specify the required parameters for the job. This Pentaho Job is then executed via Advantage Connect.

When creating a new record on this page, two tabs are provided: Pentaho Job and Pentaho Job Parameters. Refer to the field information listed below for more information.

Field	Description
Source Application	The Source Application for which the Pentaho job is configured. Refer to the “Source Applications” topic for more information.
Job Name	Indicates the Pentaho Job Name.
Job Type	Indicates the type of Pentaho Job transformation. The possible values are: FILE_TO_FILE: This is File to File transformation. FILE_TO_TABLE: This is File to Table transformation. TABLE_TO_FILE: This is Table to File transformation. TABLE_TO_TABLE: This is Table to Table transformation.
Active?	Indicates if the job is active.
Job Description	Provide the short description of Pentaho job.

Field	Description
Parameter Name	The parameter name required for the job.
Parameter Value	The parameter value required for the job.
Parameter Description	Short description about the parameters.

Note: The parameter JOB_FILE_LOCATION is required for the Pentaho job. The parameter value determines the Pentaho Job/transformation file (.ktr/.kjb) location required to invoke the job.

The OUTPUT_FILE_EXTENSION and OUTPUT_FILE_NAME parameters are required if the output of the Pentaho Job is a file.
