Online Help Favorites

Each Advantage online help application allows you to save help files as a Favorite for easy access in the future. 

  1. Select the Set as Favorite icon to save the currently viewed help file as a favorite.

  2. You can view a list of all help files that are saved as a favorite for the currently viewed online help application by selecting the Favorites icon. 

  3. Click on the help file name in the Favorites panel to navigate directly to the desired page. 

  4. You can remove help files from your Favorites by selecting the Edit Favorites icon and then select the Remove icon next to the help file that you want removed from your favorites list.  

  5. Select the Close Favorites icon to close the Favorites list. 

Special Notes about Favorites

If a help file appears in more than one online help application and you want the page listed as a Favorite in all online help applications, then you must select the Set as Favorite icon when viewing the help file in each online help application.  Similarly, if you want to remove the help file from your Favorites list in all online help applications, then you must remove the help file from the Favorites list in each online help application.

Help File Favorites are stored on your device; therefore, your Help File Favorites are not removed unless the following occurs:

  • You clear your local cache.

  • You remove the help file from your Favorites listed as indicated in Step 4 above.  

  • If the URL of the entire online help changes then all Favorites are lost. 

  • If you access the online help from a different device. 

Help File Favorites will not work if the following occurs:

  • A topic file is renamed, moved, or removed.  You must manually remove a favorite link if any of these situations occur.  Release Notes will call out any changes like this.
