Check Reconciliation Chain Process
-
The Check Reconciliation process has the ability to reconcile records based on Disbursement Bank Account on Check Reconciliation (CHREC) when the batch parameter, Use Disbursement Bank Account, is set to Yes. The process loads and compares the Disbursement Bank Account on Check Reconciliation when the Disbursement Bank Account details are included in the input file instead of the standard Bank account.
-
The External Payment feature is only supported with Clearing Fund Warrants when the Use Disbursement Bank Account parameter is set to Yes. When the Disbursement Option on System Options (SOPT) is not a Clearing Fund Warrant, the Process fails with the log message “Disbursement Option should be Clearing Fund Warrant or Clearing Fund Warrant/EFT on SOPT when USE_DISB_BANK_ACCT is Y.”
-
The Attribute List batch parameter allows the Bank Check Status (BANK_CHK_STA) to be received. The valid values of the field in the input/flat file are 1 and 2, which updates as Paid and Stopped, respectively, on the Bank Check Status field of the Check Exception page records when loaded.
-
When the Bank Check Status (BANK_CHK_STA) is included in the file for stopped checks, the process performs the following additional step:
-
If a match is found on Check Reconciliation with any Status other than Cancelled, the process updates the Check Exception table with the Bank information found on the Check Reconciliation table, including Transaction ID.
-
If a match is found on Check Reconciliation with Status equal to Cancelled, the process updates the Cleared Date and moves the record from Check Reconciliation to Paid Check. The record is marked as reconciled and deleted on the Check Exception page.
-
The Check Exception report updates the Disbursement Bank Account in the Bank Account Code field when reconciling records for External Payments.
