COA Crosswalk
The COA Crosswalk (COAX) page is used to crosswalk chart of account element codes between years. The primary usages of this data are the Open Activity Roll, Open Activity and Budget Roll, Annual Close, Contract Roll Process, Pre-Annual Close Sweep, and Automatic Accrual system processes, however, the data can be used for ‘what if’ reporting.
When any process matches against the crosswalk, all fields in the source column must match the record being processed to pull in values from the ‘target’ column. Blank fields in the source column are not considered in the match.
When the same process ID has multiple set up with different step numbers the system considers step numbers in ascending order, and the selected record would be compared with the Source COA’s and if it matches, then the Target COA’s are considered as records to be compared for the next step number available. This cascading effect is not done in all processes, so the run sheet should be consulted.
Many of the fields on the page are common (for example, the chart of account fields where the ‘source’ column contains existing values and the corresponding column contains the ‘new’ values.) Other fields are detailed below:
|

|
