Announcement Maintenance 

The Announcement Maintenance page is only accessible to the VSS Administrator role if Unified VSS has been enabled.

This page allows you to setup and maintain the announcements that will be displayed on the VSS Welcome page, the Announcements page from the Homepage, and the Account Summary page. Depending on the type of announcement being created, the values of the Recipient Type and Recipient ID will be utilized differently. The table below represents what the value of each field should be depending on whether an announcement is external, general, payee/vendor specific, or attribute based.

All announcements require the Application Administrator to choose a value from the Priority drop-down list to determine which order the announcements will appear on the page. The Announcement Start Date field will default to the current date but can be modified to another date in the future. This allows the ability for an announcement to be created but not displayed in VSS until the assigned date has been reached. The Announcement End Date field must be populated with a date in the future. The date will default to an entry of 12/31/9999 but may also be modified.
