InformationThe Grid Templates (PTPL) page is available in the Advantage Administration, Financial, Vendor Self Service, and Human Resource Management applications. The Grid Templates (PTPL) page is an inquiry page that allows users to pick a template to use for download from available templates for an application page that supports the Spreadsheet action.
On selecting the row level action, Generate File, the system initiates the download process for the grid results on the previous application page from where the Spreadsheet action was initiated. The system uses the template file name and download file name values from the selected record on the Grid Templates page for download.
Note: The Spreadsheet action must be activated and at least one template record configured on the Grid Download Template (PDTPL) page to use the Grid Templates inquiry page. If the Spreadsheet action is activated on an application page and records are not available on the Grid Download Template (PDTPL) page, the system initiates default behavior to download grid results to a spreadsheet.
