California Child Support Routine (CACS)
The California Child Support Routine (CACS) is similar to the Child Support Routine. This routine calculates the federally-mandated maximum withholding amount. If the calculated amount is greater than the Maximum Support Withholding amount (MSW), the Maximum Support Withholding amount is used for the deduction. The LA County Administrative Fee Deduction Type and Plan are tied to the California Child Support Deduction Plan via the DPLN table, utilizing the Secondary Deduction Type and Secondary Deduction Plan. Therefore, the CACS routine has the ability to assess the Administrative Fee for the chosen Child Support Deduction when processing such deductions.
