Subject Gross Hours Cap Routine (SGHC)

The Subject Gross Hours Cap Routine caps the employee’s subject gross amount at a defined number of hours for percent-based benefits and deductions. This routine uses the following fields:

Amount/ Percent 1 is the cap definition. Valid values for this field are 1, 2, or 3.

• 1 - indicates that the cap will be determined based on the pay period hours entered on the employee’s pay class.

• 2 - indicates that the cap will be determined based on the employee’s work schedule.

• 3 - indicates that the cap will be determined at the benefit or deduction plan level.

Amount/ Percent 2 is the deduction defined hours. When Amount/Percent 1 is set to 3, this field is used to enter the number of hours that is used as the cap. If the value entered is 0, it means there is no cap.
