Yonkers Non-Resident Tax Routine (YNCN)
The Yonkers Non-Resident Tax Special Routine Processing utilizes the following steps:
Line 1
|
Multiply the employee’s gross wages for the current payroll period by the number of payroll periods in a year to obtain their Annualized Gross Income (GI). |
Line 2 |
*Calculate the Yonkers Non-resident tax by subjecting the Adjusted annual gross to the DEDX table. |
Line 3 |
*Determine the final tax by multiplying Line 2 with standard tax rate. |
Line 4 |
Divide Line 3 by the number of pay period to arrive at the tax value for each pay period. |
*Calculate the Yonkers Non-resident tax by subjecting the Adjusted annual gross to the DEDX table
-
Configure the DEDX page specific to the Non-resident given as part of the Yonkers Non-resident tax and the exclusion amount mentioned should be configured as part of the base tax amount in the DEDX page. The special routine developed for Yonkers Non-Resident utilizes the base tax amount and uses that as exclusion to calculate the value for Line 2.
*Determine the final tax by multiplying Line 2 with standard tax rate
-
Configure the Standard tax rate and multiply this value with the value received as part of the Line 2.
Note: The Yonkers Non-Resident Tax Routine is only available for sites that utilize the Next Generation Payroll service.
