Leave Liability Expense Processor
In the case of employees that accrue leave every pay period, certain types of leave might be eligible for payoff if not used. PAM can prevent certain types of unused accrued leave from being paid. This is done by running the Leave Liability Expense process. The Leave Liabiity Expense Processor processes leaves balance details, creates entries in the leave liability accrual expense journal that will post to Advantage Financial, and updates leave balances.
The following Site Specific Parameters (SPAR) entries must be setup prior to running this process:
-
LEAVE PAY TYPE CODE - This parameter is used to determine Leave Liability on the Leave Liability Report [HAA8100]. Valid values can be found on the Pay and Leave Events (EVNT) page. If the Yes/No Flag is set to N, Leave Pay Type defaults to each employee’s Base Type as specified on their EMPS.
-
LEV LIAB PROC BLOCK SIZE - This parameter determines how many records the Leave Liability Expense Processor will commit from memory to the database.
-
DEFAULT LDPR FOR LEV LIAB - This parameter defines the Labor Distribution Profile to which HRM defaults to retrieve Accounting details for the leave liability, when needed. Accounting Details for this Labor Distribution Profile can be verified on Labor Distribution Profile (LDPR).
