FLSA Optional Events

The FLSA Optional Events (FLOE) reference page provides the ability to define relationships for pay events that may be conditionally included in the FLSA calculation.

The FLSA Optional Events page contains the following fields:

Field Name

Field Description

Apply % FTE to Threshold

When this check box is selected, it adjusts the threshold value according to the employee's Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) percentage.

Condition Event

This field determines if the Include in FLSA Event is included in the FLSA calculation when both events are reported within the same FLSA cycle. Only pay events with Include Event in FLSA Calculation set to yes and Event Type ID as Pay Type can be entered in this field. This field supports wildcards and this filed is mandatory.

Condition Threshold

Defines the threshold value that the Condition Event must meet the Include in FLSA Event to be included in the FLSA calculation. A threshold value greater than zero must be entered.

Evaluation Period

The Evaluation Period field specifies the timeframe in which the Condition Event must meet the threshold for the Include in FLSA Event to be included in the FLSA calculation. The options are:

  • Same Day - The Condition Event must occur and meet the threshold on the same day.

  • FLSA Period - The Condition Event must meet the threshold within the designated FLSA Period.

FLSA Profile

The identification code associated with the FLSA Profile, defined on the FLPR reference page. This field supports wildcard entries, and this field is mandatory.

Home Department

This field defines the organizational values used to select the relevant records on the page for an employee. Only records with a Home Department that match the employee's values are included in FLSA processing. This field supports wildcards and this field is mandatory.

Home Unit

This field defines the organizational values used to select the relevant records on the page for an employee. Only records with a Home Unit that match the employee's values are included in FLSA processing. This field supports wildcards and this field is mandatory.

Include in FLSA Event

The Include in FLSA Event specifies the event to include in the FLSA calculation when the Condition Event occurs within the same FLSA cycle. This event must have the Include Event in FLSA Calculation flag set to Optional and an Event Type ID of Pay Type. This field supports wildcards and this field is mandatory.

Union Local

This field defines the organizational values used to select the relevant records on the page for an employee. Only records with a Union Local that match the employee's values are included in FLSA processing. This field supports wildcards and this field is mandatory.
