Civil Service Editing Rules
The Civil Service Editing Rules (CSER) page allows you to establish rules for Civil Service Jurisdiction Class and Civil Service Status combinations. When enabled through the Civil Service Status (CIVS) page by having the Enable Civil Service Rules check box selected, employee updates validate against the CSER record.

Civil Service Jurisdiction Class |
This field indicates what Civil Service Jurisdiction Class the record is associated to. |
Civil Service Status |
This field indicates what Civil Service Status the record is associated to. |
Processing Priority Level |
This field defines the Processing Priority Level and is used during the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Expiration Priority Level |
This field defines the Expiration Priority Level and is used during the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Total Employee Count Level Limit |
This field defines the Total Employee Count Level Limit and is used during the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Active Employee Count Level Limit |
This field defines the Active Employee Count Level Limit and is used during the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Approved Employee Count Level Limit |
This field defines the Approved Employee Count Level Limit and is used during the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Seniority Date Update Option |
This field defines the Seniority Date Update Option and is used during the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Update Permanent Service Date |
This field indicates if the Seniority Date is going to be used in the Civil Service Editor logic calculation. |
Update Civil Service Info from ESMT |
This indicates that Employee Civil Service Status (ECIV) is updated by processing an Employee Status Maintenance (ESMT) transaction only. |
Allow Non-ESMT Civil Service Update |
This indicates that new entries can be manually updated on Employee Civil Service Status (ECIV) without processing an Employee Status Maintenance (ESMT) transaction. |
