Mapping

This page provides the ability to define goals, training and competencies based on various combinations of Department, Unit, Union Local, Performance Type, and Performance Policy.

You can tie different goals, training and competencies at different levels and these will be auto inferred on the Goals plan for employees, when criteria match.

Department A can define the specific Goals, training and competencies and Department B can define their own set of Goals and these will reflect accordingly in the Goals plan for the Employee belonging to Department A vs. Department B.

Similarly, grouping can be done for various Job titles by associating different Goals, training and competencies mapping for different Performance policies.

Home Department, Home Unit, Union Local, Performance Type and Performance Policy fields on this page can be set to a wildcard value of *****. Wildcards are supported on this page to provide maximum flexibility to the sites.

The Mapping page contains the following fields:

Field Name

Field Description

From

The date this information becomes effective. This field should be entered in mm/dd/ccyy format.

To

The last date for which this information is effective.  The default value for the operating system is 12/31/9999, which indicates the latest available date.

Mapping

This field determines which value to be used for mapping.

Valid values are:

  • Competency

  • Goals

  • Training

The fields related to Goal or Training or Competency should be conditionally enabled based on the selection.

Goals

This field helps to select the Goals from the Goal Library. It helps in defining the Goals that should be associated with a performance policy.

Weightage

This field helps in defining the weightage for a particular goal. It will be used for calculation of score of performance assessment.

Source

This field defines the grouping category, it is more informational and entered by an Administrator to bring in clarity of configuration set up

This field includes the following options to select from: Department, Position, Site Wide, Title, Union, Unit and Others.

Eligible for Score

This field determines whether a goal is eligible for scores.  If marked as Yes, the Goal will be considered for final score calculations during performance assessment.  

This field is currently disabled and will be enabled in a future Feature Set.

Eligible for 360 Degree Feedback

This field defines if a particular goal will be eligible for 360 Degree Feedback.  When selected, the Goals will be displayed on the Evaluation wizard under the 360 Degree Feedback step for requesting feedbacks.

Allow Modifications on Evaluation

When the ‘Allow Modifications on Evaluation’ field is selected for a goal, the Goal Description, Definition of Measurement and Weightage fields will be editable on the Evaluation wizard under the Goals step before goals are finalized and signed off by the Manager and Employee.  

Training Name

This field is enabled when the Mapping field is selected as Training. This field defines the name of the training and the values are inferred from the Course reference page.

Competency

This field is enabled when the Mapping field is selected as Competency.

This field defines the Competency Type, which is required for a particular Performance Policy and is auto inferred on the Evaluation Wizard based on the configurations.

Competency Level

This field is enabled when the Mapping field is selected as Competency.

This field defines the Competency level that is eligible for the defined Competency Type and the values are inferred from the Competency Level reference page.
