More About Pay
Unless overrides are entered on the Employment Status Maintenance (ESMT) transaction, the pay policy is defined by the employee’s Sub-Title. In addition to the pay policy, other factors such as step and grade can be used to define an employee’s pay rate.
Note: The Site Specific Parameters (SPAR) page is used to define the factors required for determining an employee’s pay.
If you intend to set up the employee’s pay based on pre-set parameters, be certain to specify the Use Table option in the Table-Driven Pay field in the Assignment Information section of the Employment Status Maintenance transaction.
Note: If an employee is set up for table-driven pay, the base pay is defined on the Pay Policy Rate (PPRT) page.
