Personnel Edit Rules

The Personnel Edit Rules page allows you to specify additional edits for a particular personnel action/personnel action reason combination on the Employment Status Maintenance (ESMT) page.

Selecting the Infer ESMT From date field on PEDT page indicates that the From date on the Employee Status Maintenance (ESMT) header should be inferred into the From date of the corresponding lines on the Pay Parameter section of the ESMT when specific Personnel Action codes such as a promotion and position change, that require an update to the employee's existing pay parameters at the time of the change, are used.

This flag is referenced by ESMT when the Site Specific Parameters (SPAR) entry USE PEDT CONSIST EDITS is set to true.
