Title

The Title (TITL) page allows you to define and identify the title of the employee’s job. It specifies job information including FLSA exemption, Client Compensation exemption, EEO category, occupational group, title group, grade, union membership, and standard pay range (including Upper Midpoint, Midpoint, and Lower Midpoint, as well as the Market Rate).

You can use the Attachment link on the Title page to upload, download, or delete files. You can also view the history of attachments by selecting the View Attachment History link.

Note: The attachment functionality is time line maintained. For example, when attaching a transaction to a Title, only the time slices of the title for which the attachment is being uploaded will contain the attachment.

The Job Description URL field on Title displays the URL where the Title’s job description is posted on the web. The value of this field will be used as the link that is opened when you select the Go to Job Description URL button. To define the URL, select the Add/Modify Job Description URL link on the Title page. The Title Extension page will be opened to allow you to define a URL. Select the Save link to save the record, then select Back to return to the Title page. The URL value will then be displayed in the Job Description URL field on Title. To access the job description web page, select the Go to Job Description URL button. A new window will pop up displaying the job description web page.

The Last Modified By field displays the User  ID of the user who has modified/created the transaction.
The Last Modified On field displays the last modified date and  time.
The Comments field displays  comment entered by the user that can hold up to 1500 characters.

Data from TITL can be downloaded into spreadsheet format by clicking the Download action from the Grid Actions menu.  Once downloaded, the data can be updated and uploaded back to TITL by selecting Upload from the Grid Actions menu.  The Download action is available when there is at least one record returned as a result of a browse or search action.  When the Download action is selected, all data that was returned as a result of the previous browse or search is selected for download.  Once the download is complete the data can be manipulated using the preferred spreadsheet application and can then be uploaded back to TITL, based on the user’s security setup. If the user can add records to the reference table online they are able to upload records to the table.  If additional security is desired, the System Maintenance Utility job that is triggered by the Upload action can be configured with Job Security to restrict the Upload action.

Note: If you plan to use the Download action, data in the fields on this page should not contain any special characters, including return characters. When opening the downloaded file, if special characters are present in the reference page record, that particular record might be, for example, split into two records in the downloaded file, and the extra records would have to be manually deleted/modified.

The Change Management section displays the last update time of each record in the table along with the User ID that made the update. This provides a clear audit trail so that compensation adjustments can be traced back to the last system user that implemented the changes.

Apart from the above fields, the Title page also has the below user defined fields that can be enabled via designer for site specific labeling and usage.
