Department Event Position Calculation (DEPC)
The Department Event Position Calculation (DEPC) reference page determines which event for a department should be included as part of a position’s total budget and units’ calculation when the Position Usage Calculation YTD batch job is executed.
For each selected event, either the Time or Dollars check box must be selected. This page only allows time or dollar events, as defined by the Pay Input Units field on the Pay and Leave Events (EVNT) reference page. This page also determines if an event can be tracked for dollars and time or only for dollars. Event where the Pay Input Units on EVNT is set to Time allows you both the Dollars and Time check boxes to be selected on this page. Event where the Pay Input Units on EVNT is set to Dollars, allows you to select only Dollar check box on this page. If the EVNT has the Pay Input Units set to Dollars and you select the Time check box, an error is issued.
