Position COA Elements Options (PCOPT)

The Position COA Elements Options (PCOPT) reference page maintains information that determines the set of required, restricted and optional elements on both the Position Assigned Accounting and the Position Authorized Accounting tabs of the Position Authorized Accounting Information (POAA) transaction that is used to set accounting override rules for redirect transactions like Employee Accounting Data (DEPTA), Employee Event Accounting Information (DEPTE) and Employee Pay Period Accounting (EPPA).

  • When a COA element is set to Required on the PCOPT reference page, it becomes mandatory on the POAA transaction.

  • When a COA element is set to Not Allowed on the PCOPT reference page, it becomes restricted on the POAA transaction.

  • When a COA element is set to Optional on the PCOPT reference page, users are allowed to either enter a valid COA value or to leave it blank on the POAA transaction.
