Position Action (POACT)

The Position Action (POACT) page allows you to track events related to budget and ordinance processes, for example, base budget allocations, mid-year changes, reclassification actions, or reorganizations.

The Position Action reference page supports the Position Loan/Borrow process. The  Loan/Borrow scalar  includes a Loan/Borrow Action drop-down. This drop-down defines the following Loan/Borrow Actions:

  1. Loan - this Action also has a Loan/Borrow Session Description associated that can be used for Position Mass change Session Description.

  2. Borrow - User should use this Borrow action on the Loan/Borrow Position Action field for a position when loaning that position. When the borrowed position gets created it will be created with this Position Action.

  3. Return Loan -  this action is used to reactivate the original position.

  4. Return Borrow - this action is used to return the borrowed position to the original position. The following are child fields:

  • Loan/Borrow Session Description: Used for the Position Mass Change Session Description.

  • Loan/Borrow Position Status Used to reactivate the original position - such as an Active status.

  • Loan/Borrow Position Action: Used for reactivating the original position. such as  Return Loan (RTLN) Action. Note, this action should be set up on POACT with Loan/Borrow Position Action of Return Loan.

  • Loan/Borrow Position Action Reason: Used for reactivating the original position - such as Return Loan (RTLN) Action reason.
