Position Management Setup (POSMS)
The Position Management Setup (POSMS) reference page is used to define configurations required for Position control. This page supports the inference of Chart of Account values on the Position Status Maintenance (PSMT) transaction based on the Infer Chart of Accounts drop-down value.
If the Infer COA field is blank, accounting values are not inferred on PSMT. If the Infer COA field is set to Use Labor Distribution Profile, the system infers the accounting details of Line1 of the LDPR on the PSMT transaction.
If the Infer COA field is set to Infer from Organization Inference (GRGINF), the system infers the accounting details from the entry on Organization Inference (ORGINF), where the Transaction Category is Payroll Acct Management (PYRL) on to the PSMT transaction. Inference will only occur if the Labor Distribution Override Option on the PSMT transaction is set to Use Entered Accounting Values. The system verifies that the Fund Department and Unit are not blank. Accounting fields are inferred on Validate or Submit.

A valid Union local should exist on the Union Local (ULOC) table. This field supports wildcard values. |

Labor Distribution Profile |
The Labor Distribution Profile (LDPR) pick-list field is supported by a pick-list with valid values from the Labor Distribution Profile (LDPR) page. This field should be populated if the Infer COA field is set as Use Labor Distribution Profile (LDPR). The system checks for the LDPR field value and infers the accounting details of Line1 of the LDPR on to the PSMT transaction. |

Infer COA |
This field determines if the COA fields on the PSMT should be inferred and from which table, Organization Inference (ORGINF) or Use Labor Distribution Profile (LDPR). Valid Values are blank, Infer from Organization Inference (ORGINF), and Use Labor Distribution Profile (LDPR). |
