Job Application
The Job Application (JOBA) transaction allows you to record and view basic job application information such as applicant ID, name, application date, job notice ID, referral source, start date, and work cycle. Each application must be for a particular job, identified by a job notice ID. The applicant can apply for several different jobs by submitting one application for each unique job notice ID. The applicant can be a current or previous employee, or a potential new hire. Each time the status of the application changes, the Job Application transaction is used to update the record. A status change might change from the initial application to a rejected state. At least one job application must be entered for the applicant before any other applicant-related information can be entered. This page is the point of entry into the system for a new applicant.

The General Information section allows you to enter general information of a job application. Enter Applicant ID, First Name, Last Name, Job Notice ID and other relevant information.
The Applicant Status section allows you to enter applicant status information of a job application. Enter Applicant Status, Applicant Status Reason, Applicant Status Date, Application Date and other relevant information.
The Applicant Preferences section allows you to enter applicant preferences information of a job application. Enter Start Date, Work Cycle, Accept Temporary Position and other relevant information.
The Contact Preference Information section allows you to enter contact preference information of a job application. Enter Home Phone, Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Fax Phone and other relevant information.
The Department Preference section allows you to enter department preference information of a job application. Enter Department 1, Department 2, Department 3, Department Rank 1, Department Rank 2, Department Rank 3 and other relevant information.
The Geographic Preference section allows you to enter geographic preference information of a job application. Enter Geographic Area 1, Geographic Area 2, Geographic Area 3, Geographic Area Rank 1, Geographic Area Rank 2, Geographic Area Rank 3 and other relevant information.
