New Hire Action Packet

The New Hire Action Packet (NHAP) transaction is a packet transaction that contains a list of the on-line and off-line transactions that need to be submitted when hiring a new employee and their current statuses. This transaction is created when a Personnel Action designated as a checklist action on the Personnel Action Checklist reference table is used on a triggering transaction.

Packet transactions act as a reference to all the transactions that need to be completed for a given employee based on their department and the Personnel Action used on them. When a Personnel Action designated on the Personnel Action Checklist reference table is used on a transaction, submission and finalization of the transaction triggers the creation of a Packet (PACK) transaction. The packet transaction is then used to quickly and easily check the status of each transaction associated with the employee. The transactions listed on a packet transaction can differ depending on the Personnel Action code, Personnel Action Reason, and employee Home Department used on the triggering transaction.
