Audit Log

The Audit Log (AUDLOG) page displays audit record stored in the Audit Log table. It offers a detailed view of changes made to resources that have audit logging enabled through the Setup Audit Log and External Notification (AUDCTRL) page.

This page serves as a real-time, user-friendly alternative to the traditional Audit Log Report batch job, enabling users to directly access audit records without waiting for scheduled report generation.

Users can filter audit entries by user, resource, and date range. Each record in the results includes a View action, which opens a detailed audit view displaying both the original and updated values.

The following fields are displayed on the Audit Log page to provide detailed context about each logged action:

Field Name

User ID

ID of the user who performed the action.

Resource Name

Name of the resource (table) on which the action was performed.

Start Date

End Date

Filters data up to the specified date.

Date & Time

Timestamp indicating when the action occurred.

Job Name

Indicates whether the update was performed online or via batch processing.

Action

Key

Primary key of the record that was changed.

Business Role ID

The AUDLOG page is designed primarily for audit and administrative analysis and it is subject to restricted access. It is not available by default to broad security roles such as ALL_READ or ANY. Instead, access must be explicitly granted through appropriate custom security roles to ensure controlled visibility.

Note: Audit log data displayed on this page is generated based on the audit rules configured via the AUDCTRL page. To ensure that relevant audit records appear in the AUDLOG page, proper audit setup must be in place.
