Clock Group (CLGP)

The Clock Group (CLGP) page allows you to assign a group of employees to a Clock or Soft Clock and configure Event and Override information on the basis of Home Department and Unit.

Employees defined in the Employee Roster tab will have access only to the Clocks defined on the Clocks tab, unless the Soft Clock check box is selected.

Only Events and Overrides defined on Clock Group are available on the clock for selection as per the employee’s setup on Pay Policy Event Type (PPET) and Leave Policy Event Type (LPET). Even if the employee(s) has access to more Events as per their Pay or Leave Policy, only those defined on CLGP are available on the clock.

Notes:

  • CLGP is timeline agnostic and does not validate against the dates.

  • Clocks can be associated with multiple Clock Groups, but employees cannot be associated to multiple Clock Groups that have the same clock.

Field InformationField Information

The Clock Group page contains the following fields:

Field Name

Field Description

Add Break

After Defines when the break starts after clocking in (HH:MM). For example, if this is set to 1 and the employee works the Minimum Hours, the auto break line is entered 1 hour after the employee clocked in.

Allow Auto Breaks

Determines whether or not breaks are automatically calculated and entered upon Clock Out.

Break Hours

Defines how long the break is in HH:MM.

Clock Group

Define the Clock Group name.

Default Event

The value entered in this field is selected by default on the clock when clocking in.

Default Override

The value entered in this field is set by default on the clock when clocking in.

Event 2-5

The values entered in these fields are available for selection on the clock when clocking in, based on the employee’s policies.

Location

 Determines the location of Soft Clock.

Minimum Hours

The amount of time required to earn an automatic break. HH:MM.

Override 2-10

The values entered in these fields are available for selection on the clock when clocking in, based on the employee’s setup.

Rounding Rules

Specify how to round the time when an employee clocks in or out. By default, the field is set to N/A.

Valid values are:

  • N/A - Only actual times are recorded.

  • 5 Minutes - Rounding is done to the nearest 5 minutes in Past Punches (PPUN) and in the timesheet.

  • 6 Minutes - Rounding is done to the nearest one-tenth in Past Punches (PPUN) and in the timesheet

  • 15 Minutes - Rounding is done to quarter of an hour in Past Punches  and in the timesheet.

Clock Type

Determines whether the Clock Group is for a Soft Clock, Physical Clock, or Both.

Enable Editing Timesheet

When Clock Type is set to Soft Clock or Both, the Enable Editing Timesheet check box is available. This check box must be selected to allow editing of the Timesheet on the Soft Clock.

Disable View Past Punches

Determines whether or not the View Past Punches option is available on the clock (applies to both Soft Clock and Physical Clock).

Disable View Timesheet

Determines whether or not the View Timesheet option is available on the clock (applies to both Soft Clock and Physical Clock).

Disable View Schedule

Determines whether or not the View Schedule option is available on the clock (applies to both Soft Clock and Physical Clock).

Disable Leave Balance

Determines whether or not the Leave Balance option is available on the clock (applies to both Soft Clock and Physical Clock).

Disable Leave Request

Determines whether or not the Leave Request option is available on the clock (applies to both Soft Clock and Physical Clock).

Disable Current Timesheet

Determines whether or not the Current Timesheet option is available on the clock (applies to both Soft Clock and Physical Clock).
