Expandable Pay Policy Rate (PPRX)
The Expandable Pay Policy Rate (PPRX) reference page allows you to create a template for the mass-creation of Pay Policy Rate Type (PPRT) entries. Entries created here are referenced by the Expandable Pay Policy Rate batch job to create applicable PPRT data.
Each field that can be expanded has an associated check box to specify if it will be expanded as part of the batch process. If this box is checked, no data can be entered for that field on PPRX. If it is unchecked, then it is required to be populated, unless that field is excluded based on the Site Specific Parameters (SPAR) page. When the batch job is run, PPRT entries are created for all applicable values of the fields that are checked and the specified Pay Policy.
Wild cards are allowed for some fields, as designated in the below table. These wild cards are carried over onto all PPRT entries created by the batch job.
When a Pay Policy or Event Type combination is entered on PPRX, the system checks whether the event type exists on the Pay Policy Event Type (PPET) page and tries to match the Pay Policy or Event Type record to the one on PPET. If no match is found, it looks for a wildcard pay policy to match the event type. If this match is not found, the system issues an error message.

Required if the SPAR entry for USE CHART FOR TD PAY FL is set to true and the Expand Chart check box is unchecked. This field is eligible for expansion. This field is required unless the Expand Chart check box is checked. This field can be wildcarded. |
Grade |
The identification code associated with the grade for which the pay rate is valid. This field is eligible for expansion. The expansion of the Grade field is dependent on the employee’s Pay Policy. Wildcards are valid in this field. If this field is set to expand, an entry is required on the Pay Policy Grade (PPGR) table to associate the Pay Policies with the correct Grade and Step codes.
