Create a Cash Receipt with Partial Payment

For screen shots and field requirements for the CR Document Codes, refer to the appropriate section (Header, Vendor, Accounting, and Posting). 

This scenario illustrates the application of cash received against a receivable with principal and multiple fees.  Specifically the scenario will partially liquidate a receivable and apply the cash to Receivable lines in an order defined by the user (via application configuration). The order is determined based on the receivable line type.

 

  1. Create a RE document in the Document Catalog. For details on how to create a RE document, see Creating a Receivable.

  2. Create the CR document in the Document Catalog.

  3. Complete the Header section.

  4. Complete the Vendor section.

  1. Execute the Auto Apply command.

  2. Review the Accounting section.

  1. Click the Validate button.

    After validate, the Line Type Name is displayed and you can verify the order specified on the vendor line.

  2. If errors exist, fix the errors and repeat Step 7.  If no errors exist, then continue with Step 9.

  3. Click the Submit button to submit the document.
