The Loan Setup (LOANS) document allows the creation of Loan Authorizations, Loan Applications, and Loans. The LOANS document cannot be modified or cancelled once it is submitted; instead, a LOANM document must be created.
The Loan Modification (LOANM) document allows the modification of a Loan Authorization, Loan Application, or Loan while also allowing for the creation of new Loan Applications or new Loans. Loan Authorizations can only be created with a LOANS document. The LOANM cannot be modified or cancelled once it is submitted. Another LOANM document must be created if a mistake was made on the first LOANM.
The LOANS document contains most of the same fields that are shared between all DEBT documents. Refer to the "DEBT Setup & Modification Document Common Layouts and Fields" section for screen shots and field definitions. Any differences that are specific to the LOANS document are listed below by section.
