Advantage Fixed Assets gives you the option of setting up reporting hierarchies so that group-related information is summarized on reports. These types of hierarchies are available:
Type and Group Hierarchy - Created using Advantage Fixed Assets tables
Location Hierarchy - Created using system-wide reference tables
If your site chooses to set up either of these hierarchies, certain tables must be set up. See the ”Setting up CGI Advantage Fixed Assets” section for more information on setting up the hierarchy-related tables.
As illustrated below, this hierarchy categorizes your assets, based on their type and group definitions. On the left side of the diagram are the names of the tables that define the various levels of the hierarchy, which are illustrated on the right side of the diagram.
