The Internal Costing Chain includes two main processes: one that calculates internal costs and another that creates charge documents. The charge documents book the costs to the party that benefited from the work, while optionally creating entries to record revenue or expenditure reductions to the party that performed the work. Other jobs load and submit the Charge documents.
The Internal Costing chain may be run all at once, or the first job can be separated out and run at a different times. Running the first job on its own allows for a review of calculated costs before the documents will be generated.
