Register Equipment on the Equipment ID (EQID) Table

The Equipment ID (EQID) table allows you to set up Equipment records for use on the Internal Costing Usage Transaction (ICT) document.  Equipment ID records are entered by Department. Each Equipment ID is associated with an Equipment Class (must be valid on the Internal Cost Rate table) and an Equipment Description.  Equipment ID, Department, and Equipment Class are all required fields.  The Internal Cost Transaction (ICT) document references this table during validation of the Equipment ID and infers the Equipment Class and the Equipment Description.

Entry of the In Service Date is optional, but if entered it will be used during ICT validation to ensure that equipment use does not occur before the In Service Date.
