Secured Field Accesses

The Secured Field Accesses (SCFACS) page defines the allowable values for a security role trying to access a secured field.

Secured FieldSecured Field

The Field ID is the name of the attribute that has to be secured while the Description is a free-form, user-defined description. This information can also be set up on the Secured Fields page, which can be accessed via the Field Information related page.

This tab includes the following Related Page link:

  • Field Information - A transition to the Secured Fields page (for the selected Field ID), which is used to maintain the list of fields that must be secured in the system.

Description

Security Role ID

The security role that will be associated with the field security comparison.

Comparison Type

Define the type of field comparison that will determine authorization of access for the selected security role. Valid values are:

  • Equals – If the contents of the field matches any entered values on the Field Comparison page, the user is authorized to perform an action on the data.

  • Not Equal – If the content of the field does not match any entered values on the Field Comparison page, the user is authorized to perform an action on the data.

  • Inside Range – If the content of the field is within any range entered on the Field Comparison page, the user is authorized to perform an action on the data.

  • Outside Range – If the content of the field is not within any range entered on the Field Comparison page, the user is authorized to perform an action.

  • Field Comparisons - A transition to the Field Comparisons page to define the values used in the comparison.
