Configurable Inquiry Administration

The Configurable Inquiry Administration (CIADMIN) page is the centralized location for System / Report Administrators to manage Configurable Inquiries created by all users. This page allows a Site Administrator to delete, share, and re-assign ownership of Configurable Inquiries to another user during the organization change or reshuffles.

The recipient of the re-assigned inquiry must have access to the relevant Business View and Advantage Insight Semantic Model for the reassignment to be successful. If the recipient does not have the required access, the system will prevent the reassignment and display a feedback message. The Site Administrator should provide the necessary Security Role and Insight Semantic Model access to the recipient of the inquiry.

Note: Configurable inquiries can only be edited by the respective owners of the inquiries.

Create Business View: Administrators users can create / edit Business View (CIBUSVW) by selecting the required fields from an existing BI Model and BI Perspective. Business View creation is secured by the Advantage Page security and should be set so only authorised users that are knowledgable of Advantage structure have access. BI Model and RLS security setup: Administrators can use the BI Model Role Setup (BIRSETUP) and BI Security Role Mapping (BISECMAP) pages to map the security for the BI Model to BI Role (Row-level Security or RLS) to an Advantage Security Role. Create Configurable Inquiry: Authorized Business users can use Create Configurable Inquiries (CREATCI) to create new Configurable Inquiry. Business users will only see their authorised Business Views. For example, the an Accounts Payable user will only see Business Views related to the Accounts Payable models. Access Configurable Inquiry: Authorized Business users can use My Configurable Inquiries (CIMYINQ) to access created or shared Configurable Inquiries. A user will only see data based on the BI Role configuration on the BI Model Role Setup (BIRSETUP) page. Test on non-production environment: Create business view and execute CI on non-production region to validate inquiry works with production like volume.
