Messages
The Messages (MESG) page allows you to set up and maintain messages in the application. Each message can be identified with a unique Code along with a short description of the error in the Text field, and a Severity. An extended description of the error message can be provided in the Explanation field and the override level can be specified as well. Messages can be error messages, warnings, not displayed or just informational messages. When the message Severity is Not Displayed, the system does not display the message to users and the message does not impact the normal processing of the application. It is recommended to set this option with caution especially when the original error Severity is Error or Severe.
Troubleshooting Tip fields guide users on steps to resolve the error message.
