Announcement Attribute Definition

The Announcement Attribute Definition page is only accessible to the VSS Administrator role if Unified VSS has been enabled.

This page allows you to define the attributes and values to create announcements. The Group ID field is automatically populated when the new record is created on this page. The Data Object field must contain one of the following four values: R_VEND_CERT (Vendor Certification), R_VEND_CUST (Vendor/Customer), R_TIN_1099_INFO (1099 Information), or R_MSTR_AD (Master Address). The Attribute field will be dynamically populated based on the Data Object that is selected. The Application Administrator must also select a value in the Operator field and manually populate the Value field.

After the record is successfully saved to this table, the Application Administrator must enter the Group ID in the Recipient ID field on the Announcement Maintenance page. The Application Administrator must also select a Group in the Recipient Type field on the Announcement Maintenance page. Depending on which payee/vendors satisfy the conditions in this group, the announcements created for a Group/Group ID will be sent to those particular payees/vendors.
