Employee Recommendations (EREC)
The Employee Recommendations (EREC) transaction allow managers and HR administrators to make an employee recommendation for an increase/decrease in salary, a change in Grade/Step, or a new Title, etc. Upon successful completion of the EREC transaction (and proper workflow has been set up), an Employee Status Maintenance (ESMT) transaction is submitted to update the employee’s record. Any changes to Title, Grade, Step, Salary, etc., are transferred and included on the newly generated and submitted Employee Status Maintenance transaction.
Employee Recommendations transactions can be created in Advantage HRM for managers by HR Administrators via the Employee Relations activity folder, under Employee Evaluations. A Recommendations wizard allows managers to create Employee Recommendations.

Use this transaction to enter the general information for the employee, including the evaluation information, personnel action, etc.
This transaction also allows you to enter the recommended changes to the employee's salary, title, grade, or step.
Note: This transaction requires an update to at least one of the following fields: Salary Inc/Dec, Recommended Title, Recommended Grade, or Recommended Step. The Current Title, Current Grade, Current Step, and salary fields are automatically inferred and displayed in the corresponding fields upon validation/submission of the Employee Recommendations transaction.
Upon submission, provided proper workflow has been setup, the EREC transaction is passed onto an HR administrator who will then Approve/Reject the manager’s recommended changes. An Employee Status Maintenance (ESMT) transaction is automatically generated and placed in the Held Status with the data inferred from the Employee Recommendations transaction.
The Employee Recommendations transaction can be created in the following ways:
Select the Create action on the Transaction Catalog.
Select the Create Employee Recommendations row-level action on the Employee Recommendations tab of the Employee Relations (ER) activity folder.
Select the Modify Employee Recommendations row-level action on the Employee Recommendations tab of the Employee Relations (ER) activity folder.
