Employee Work History (EWRK)
The Employee Work History (EWRK) transaction allows you to record an employee's work history. This work history information is recorded according to Employee ID, Company, Work Type, Position Title, and Start Date. The work history can also include the salary information, description of duties, employer address, and contact information.
Note: An Employee can also update their Employee Address via the Profile Information Landing > Manage Work History carousel tile. Employees should refer to the “Employee Work History” topic in the Employee/Manager User Guide for more information
Field InformationField Information
Enter the employee's prior employment information such as company, work type, employment type, salary, description of duties, prior employer address, contact, and so on and so forth.
The Employment Work History transaction contains the following fields:

Alternate Work Phone |
The work telephone number extension for the applicant, employee, dependent, or contact being entered. |
Alternate Work Phone Extension |
The work telephone number extension for the applicant, employee, dependent, or contact being entered. |
City |
The identification code associated with the city. |
Company URL |
The URL or web address of the company or employer. |
Contact Description |
A short description of the contact. |
Contact First Name |
The first name for the employee’s alias name (name by which they prefer to be referred) or the prefix of an alternate contact person (for instance the person who is their power of attorney). |
Contact Middle Name |
The middle name for the employee’s alias name (name by which they prefer to be referred) or the prefix of an alternate contact person (for instance the person who is their power of attorney). |
Contact Name Prefix |
The prefix for the employee’s alias name (name by which they prefer to be referred) or the prefix of an alternate contact person (for instance the person who is their power of attorney). |
Contact Name Suffix |
The suffix of the contact person. |
Contact Last Name |
The last name for the employee’s alias name (name by which they prefer to be referred) or the prefix of an alternate contact person (for instance the person who is their power of attorney). |
Contact Type |
This field is the type of contact for the employer associated with the employee’s/applicant’s prior work history. |
Country |
The identification code associated with the country. |
County |
The identification code associated with the county. |
Description of Duties |
You can specify additional information about the previous position held by the employee/applicant. |

The e-mail address associated with the contact. |
Employer Org Type |
Select the employer organization type for the prior work held by employee/applicant. The valid values include: Agent, Broker, Employer, and Self-employed. |
Employment Type |
Select the type of employment for the prior work held by employee/applicant. The valid values include: Contract, Contract To Hire, Direct Hire, Internship, Temp, Temp To Hire, and Volunteer. |
Ending Salary |
The amount of salary the applicant or employee is currently or was being paid for this prior work history record. |
Fax |
The fax number associated with the applicant, employee, dependent or contact. |
Fax Extension |
The fax number extension associated with the applicant, employee, dependent or contact. |
Mobile Phone |
The mobile telephone number associated with the applicant, employee, dependent or contact. |
Mobile Extension |
The mobile telephone number extension associated with the applicant, employee, dependent or contact. |
Salary Currency |
Select the salary currency for the ending salary associated with the prior work held by employee/applicant. |
Salary Interval |
This field is the time increment in which the salary or pay rate is expressed. The valid values are Hourly, Daily,Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, Semi-Monthly,Bi-weekly, and Fortnightly. |
State/Province |
The state or province code. The State ID defines the two character abbreviation for each state. This allows the appropriate state, for reporting pay and deduction information, to be selected. |
Street 1 |
The first line of the address. |
Street 2 |
The second line of the address. |
Work Phone |
The telephone number associated with contacting the person. |
Work Phone Extension |
The telephone number extension for the applicant, employee, dependent, or contact being entered. |
Zip/Postal Code |
The zip or postal code associated with the address. |
The Employee Work History transaction can be created in the following ways:

Select the Create action on the Transaction Catalog.

Select the Create Employee Training Profile tab-level action on the Employee Work History tab of the Employee Profile Management (EPM) activity folder.

Select the Modify Viewable Grid of Employee Training Profile tab-level action on the Employee Work History tab of the Employee Profile Management (EPM) activity folder to modify or delete more than one record. This action cause all records displayed on the grid to be made available on the Employee Work History page at one time.

Select the Modify row-level action on the Employee Work History tab of the Employee Profile Management (EPM) activity folder.

Select the Create or Edit action on the Profile Information Landing > Manage Work History carousel tile to update work history information for the selected employee.
Once you have made all the changes, select the Validate button to make sure all your entries are correct. Select Submit to submit the transaction. Select Save to save the details you entered. You can select the Save & Close button to save the details you entered and return to the Manage Personal Information carousel tile. If you select the Cancel button, you will exit the Employee Work History transaction without saving your changes.
