Self Performance Evaluation (SPEV)
The Self Performance Evaluation (SPEV) transaction allows an employee to create self-employee evaluations regarding performance. This transaction can also be used to allow an employee to respond to an evaluation given by a manager. The SPEV transaction provides employees with a simplified Evaluation transaction.
HR Administrators can create SPEV transactions via the Employee Relations activity folder, under Employee Evaluations, by selecting the Create Self Evaluation link. When an SPEV transaction is created, the HR administrator populates all the relevant General Information Section fields and inputs any relevant Performance Rating Information that they wish to display to the employee. Upon submission, assuming proper workflow setup, the SPEV transaction will be passed onto the employee for review, responses, and comments in Pending Approval status.
An Employees can review and complete their Self-Performance Evaluations via a Self Performance Evaluation transaction under the Performance Review Landing > Manage Current Performance Review > Self Evaluation section. The creation of Self Performance Evaluations is not allowed by managers. The Self Performance Evaluation transactions can be created by either an employee using the Self Performance Evaluation process or by HR Administrators who can create exit interview type evaluations. These exit interview type evaluations are automatically available for the employee to fill out once a draft Self Performance Evaluation is created. The Self Performance Evaluation transaction has the following tabs:
Use this tab to enter the general information for the self performance evaluation. Enter the Employee ID, Evaluation Type, From and To dates, and the Evaluation Due Date.
Use this tab to enter information on the performance ratings. Add any relevant Performance Rating Information that you wish to display to the employee.

Note: The use of the Reviewed Position Description check box is dependent on the REVIEWED POS DES CHECKBOX parameter on the Site Specific Parameters (SPAR) page. If the Yes/No Flag is selected for this parameter on SPAR, the Reviewed Position Description check box edits will be used when validating/submitting the Self Performance Evaluation transaction. If the SPAR parameter is set to false (check box is cleared) the Reviewed Position Description check box will be greyed out and will be disabled.
The Self Performance Evaluation transaction can be created in the following ways:
Select the Create action on the Transaction Catalog.
Select the Create Self Performance Evaluation row-level action on the Employee Evaluation tab of the Employee Relations (ER) activity folder.
Select the Modify Self Performance Evaluation row-level action on the Employee Evaluation tab of the Employee Relations (ER) activity folder.
Note: After submission of the Self Performance Evaluation transaction, provided proper workflow has been setup, the Self Performance Evaluation transaction, is passed on to the employee for review, responses, and comments in Pending Approval status.
