Document types and their document codes in the Procurement (PROC) document category use the Procurement Document Control (PRDOC) table in addition to the Document Control (DCTRL) table. Many fields that exist only on commodity-based procurement documents are represented in the different sections of the PRDOC table. The table will not prevent the addition of records for non-commodity documents, but such records will never be used by the application as logic to read the controls on this table reside in only certain document types or in common routines shared by only commodity-based documents.
