The Master Agreement (MA) document sets prices, terms, and conditions, by which you can purchase itemized goods or services from a vendor at a negotiated price. A Master Agreement does not commit you to make a purchase, and therefore carries no funding information.
You use Master Agreements to meet recurring needs. Common products purchased this way include food, fuel, pharmaceutical and plumbing supplies, tires and tubes, stationery, office equipment and electronic data processing equipment. Common services include repair and overhaul, and temporary help services.
Purchases that you make using a Master Agreement are called Delivery Orders.
Important Note: You can only modify Final MA documents if the Direct Agreement Modification field on the Access Control (SCRACS) table in the Administration application is selected. An error is given on Validate if the field is not selected. If the field is not selected, then you must use a Master Agreement Modification Request (MMR) document.
The creation of new MA documents can be automatically prevented for a particular vendor with selection of the Discontinued – No New Business check box on the Vendor/Custom (VCUST) table but the processing of existing documents may proceed.
MA documents allow you to initiate the Assembly Process when the Assemble External Terms and Conditions parameter is set to True on the Applications Parameters table. This process assembles specific document sections, all of the attached Terms and Conditions, and all of the Supporting Documents attached to the document within a single formatted PDF document. (Note: Inactive lines will not be assembled if the Hide Inactive Procurement Lines flag is selected upon initiating the assembly request.) Please refer to the ”Understanding the Assembly Process” section for more information.
The Master Agreement (MA) document contains the following sections:
