Accessing/Terminating Employee Tax Parameters
Employee Tax (TAX), and Employee State Tax Withholding Certificate (ETAXS), Federal Tax Enrollment (TAXF), and State Tax Enrollment (TAXS) pages allow you to set up and change income tax deductions as reported on the W-4 form. Information from the W-4 forms, such as tax marital status, number of allowances and exemptions (for pre-Jan 1 2020 W-4 forms), Multiple Jobs, Dependent Credit, Other Income and Deductions (for post Jan 1 2020 W-4 forms) is used by the system to calculate the income tax withholding deductions. W-4P and Multiple Annuity/Pension (for post Jan 1 2022 W-4P forms) will be used by the system to calculate the income tax withholding deductions.
Note: Page Security is available to enforce an IRS Lock-in letter. Please refer to "Activating Page Security" in the CGI Advantage Run Sheet Guide for information on setting up page security. After receipt of a lock-in letter from the IRS, no additional Form W-4 transactions which may increase an employee’s withholding amount may be submitted. As enforcement of this IRS policy, Advantage HRM has restrictions to prevent an employee from accessing the MYW4C or MYW4C2 transaction. Once the lock-in restriction has been lifted by the IRS, the page security restriction may be removed on the Form W-4 page for a specified employee.
