Transaction Information
The Position Control business area involves the following transactions:
Transaction Name |
Page Code |
Description |
Employee Status Maintenance |
Allows you to establish an employee on the system database. |
|
Position Authorization Maintenance |
Allows you to define the authorized strength of a position for a fiscal year. |
|
Position Authorization Maintenance by Group |
Records and displays position information at the group level. |
|
Position Description |
Allows the position coordinator to track and audit the description for position characteristics, such as assigning physical requirements, licenses, skills, special pay type codes, etc. In addition, the Audit check box is used to allow auditing of new or existing Position Description records. If the user belongs to a resource group that allows for corrections, a Correction check box is displayed on the transaction. This check box is used to allow minor corrections or adjustments to be made to existing Position Description records. This ensures that only a few individuals have the capability to make corrections to audited records, thereby allowing regulation of the audit process and potentially reducing the number of individuals making minor or irrelevant changes to the audited records. |
|
Position Distribution Profile Maintenance |
Allows you to record and view information relating to the assignment of an employee to multiple positions. |
|
Position Maintenance |
Allows you to create a new position, change the status of an existing position, and define or change profile attributes of a position. |
|
Position Work Schedule |
Allows you to create exceptions to a work schedule for a selected Position Number. Schedule dates and/or shifts and all the associated information defined for each shift overrides the work schedule defined on the Work Day (WDAY) reference page for all employees assigned to that position. |
